Furniture Brains presents this in conjunction with the Furniture Find online showroom. Drawers have a French dovetail front and rear. This is not an interlocking joint (as is done by an English dovetail). It may be referred to as a butt joint. The back of the drawer is cut into and the drawer side fitted and glued into that cut, the same process is done on the back part of the drawer and then stapled in the sides. The bottom is glued and wood blocked on the underside of the drawer for strength and support.
